I have a question about my older model # HRSW12V sub. It was supplied with the external plate amp, rated at 150 watts.

I am using an Aragon 8008BB amp to drive my L/R speakers, and am planning to buy another to use one channel to driving my center speaker.

My question is, if I am using an external LFE crossover and level control ( in my HT pre/pro), can I use the other unused channel of the Aragon to drive the HSU sub? That way I can have more power, use balanced inputs and shorter speaker wiring to the sub.

Thanks for a reply

Yes you can. But to get the best (flattest / protected low bass) you should add the inline Hsu Bass Optimiser. The HRSW12V like all Hsu models needs special equalization, it also needs infrasonic filtering.

This is built into the Hsu amps.

For $100 you can get it here.

Thanks for the reply. I already own a Behringer Feeback Destroyer Pro, for use as a sub EQ, so will try that first.
