I am looking to install a HT setup and a local dealer is recomending I purchase either a Klipsch or Definitive Technology Center Channel speaker as front, right and left surround due to my built-in wall unit. He says I'll get a fuller sound having three centers across the front soundstage due to each cabinet having two 6.5" woofer and a single tweeter. I'd rather have towers for my front surround but the limitations of my built in wall unit does not support this. Definitive Technology has a speaker that's designed for this application C/L/R 2000 (Dual 6.5"). Anyway... can three VT-12's be used in this manner and accomplish the same thing (send full range to the C/L/R channels)?
Any thoughts?

All of the front three channels go to the single center speaker, where all of the lows are fed to the two 4"x6" drivers in the center speaker. The highs are treated in what appears to be a complex way before being fanned out to the center, left, and right high frequency drivers.
Rather than pervert the design by using three center speakers, one might as well go for a completely different package.
However, I haven't seen anyone complaining about lack of fullness in the Ventriloquist as designed.
