Hi guys,
I am novice and setting up my first HT. Am getting the Ventriloquist speakers & the woofer, but am not getting much help from my local dealers in Singapore. Maybe its because i am not splashing alot of money on them.
The dealer mentioned that the set is made in China? And only has a 1 year warranty. Are the equipments in the US made in China as well? And why do they have a 7 yr warranty, compared to a single year, locally?
These guys are the authorised dealers found on HSU's web page and yet the terms and the pdts seem to be diff, why is this so?

Interesting question. Some of our products are built for us in China to our specifications.
As for the warranty, we will honor it even if you bought in Singapore, as long as you handle the shipping charges.

HI,
Thanks for the quick reply. Think it would be a tad too difficult to ship it to the US if its broke.
If i am in Singapore, how much would it cost for me to get the VT-12 & the STF-1 shipped to me for purchase?
And the dealer here(only 1) isnt helpfull at all. I was reading the installation posts and it frightens me a little, on the soldering bit. I have absolutely no experience in this and i dont have a soldering iron in the first place. Is there anyone to help me here in Singapore?

You can use bare wires and/or bananas. You dont have to solder. Hookup only looks complex because it go's in and out of the center and then to the left and right speakers. This is just to use the bass drivers in the center for the left and right.
But its all pretty straight forward if you follow the wiring diagrams. As far as Hsu getting equipment built in China? It seems to have allowed them to keep the pricing low and yet offer a better product. As a long time Hsu buyer I think that's a great thing. The latest products are better products because of what China can offer. Not much now doesn't come from China because of the quality/price they can offer.

Thanks for the advice, will try on my own.
As for China, its usually ok, if its assembled in China, but being made in China, does have its uncertainities. Low cost is one thing, but compromise on pdt components, i hope it does not happen.
