I've got an Onkyo SR502 A/V Receiver, VT-12 speakers, and the STF-1 Sub. I'm a newbie at configuring sound (I've at least equalized the sound using the RS meter), but am very pleased with what I'm hearing so far. I did have a question about crossover though.

I'm using the subwoofer output on my receiver to drive the sub. Currently, I am using the STF's crossover switch set to in with the dial set to 90Hz (that's how it was shipped). I am thinking that it might be better to switch it out and control the crossover using the receiver (which offers choices of 60, 80, 100, 120, and 150Hz). Is there anyone who has an SR502 and similar speakers who can comment on what settings they are using?

I don't have the 502, but Dr Hsu does and many others as well. Set Xover to 80, sub out. That's it.
