Cant wait to get it...
I purchased a Pioneer Elite SC 05 Reciever to power my new speakers and have never set up a system.
I wanted to purchase the Sub cable but the one HSU sells was not as long as I need. I have a 20' deep room and will put the cable in the wall and ceiling so I need about 35' and will also need speaker wire in that lenght for the rears.
any suggestions where to buy decent cables. And if I need anything else to get up and running??
thanks much : )

Hello Wildbill,
Here is a great place to buy all types of cabling. It is www.monoprice.com (http://www.monoprice.com). Here is an example of a 35 ft long cable you are looking for: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10236&cs_id=1023603&p_id=3976&seq=1&format=2. I and many others have bought from this place. Great prices.

I second Monoprice - really low prices and the cables are of very nice quality. If you want to go higher up, bluejeanscable.com has excellent stuff and they make custom lengths.

Hey is there any thing else I am going to need besides speaker wire. I have been thinking about getting a Harmony Remote but do I need anything else to set up my Reciever and Speakers.
My system includes a Hitachi ultravision plazma 42" and x box360, I have a DVR and HD TV, will be buying a Blue Ray soon. I have one HDMI cable for the TV and XBox, will get one for my Blue Ray.
thanks for your help.

Are you going to send all of your electronic components through your receiver and then the video to your tv? Is your DVR a HD DVR with a HDMI port? If so then I would suggest you get some more HDMI cables from monoprice and make sure you get the HDMI Version 1.3 cable

Yea I plan on more HDMI cables, I will be running everything through the Reciever. I just read the forum and hear about all this other stuff people are using with there system and I am not sure if its necessary. As far as I can tell I need my components. DVR, Blue Ray Player, Xbox, Cable Box, Ect.... and then speaker cable and HDMI cable... Im all set up with surge protectors and that kind of stuff.
Just wanted to make sure when I get my speakers in a week or so that I can put it all together and Im not missing anything.
Take Care,
Wildbill
