Karaoke lovers,
I just hooked up my Ensing ESK-6600 Mixer to the NAD320 BEE to check out how karaoke music performs with the VTF-2 Mk2 sub.
Identical to the Ensing mixer that my friend had is the Oakridge one.
I test out some tracks of the Karaoke DVD's below to see how the sub works out with Karaoke music.
Power Music Karaoke DVD Top Vol. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
Endless Love Song Karaoke DVD Vol. 3
Since the sub has passed my tests on music and movies, I was not expecting much from Karaoke session.
I was dead wrong!
The music sounds better when you perform singing Karaoke with powerful bass.
Everything sounds completely different because you're performing yourself. I'm not good at singing. But I try and I'm having a lot of FUN.
Since you are focused on singing like reading words on screen and paying attention to sing them on right rythm, you don't have much time to listen to the music carefully like you do when you are just listening only music.
And if you don't have bass like what VTF-2 MK2 generate, music won't sound so real and powerful. Total immersion!
It is a completely new musical experience!. You can imagine how excited I'm already!
So devoted karaoke lovers or if you like to try Karaoke at home rather in bar, you could add a karaoke mixer like the one I'm having, and you'll be in for interactive entertainment.
Passion for karaoke is one of my hobbies. If you like to sing karaoke and even host karaoke in your house, you should definitely want to add a karaoke mixer to the current audio system and give it a test drive.
Mixer has cost me : $220 US
A pair of Senheiser microphones: each $180 US
Ensing mixer: See url below:

To conclude, it is FUN! Why go to karaoke bar to sing when you could do at home with friends and family! And I do believe that any HSU sub will do the job easily!
And from my experience, don't buy cheap microphones, you'll end up getting rid of them later. The price seems to be expensive but you get what you paid for.
