I was thinking of buying the MBM-bass Module, and i wanted to know how that would work with my VTF-2 MK3 SUB? Would i change the crossover setting on my receiver to 50 or just on the VTF2? My sub now is about 10 feet away from me so i would put the MBM-12 next to my couch.

I also had noticed that you can buy something to set a delay.Could someone please explain more to me about this process.Thank you

Yes, you can add that MBM-12 to your VTF-2.3 or any other subwoofers you would like. The MBM-12 is designed for nearfield usage and gives you the extra kick-in-the-chest mid-bass you're looking for in movies. You can leave the crossover on your receiver as is. Use a Y-Splitter to connect both your VTF2.3 and MBM-12 from your receiver's subwoofer pre-out. Dial the crossover on your VTF2.3 to 50 Hz. Thus, your VTF2.3 works from 16 Hz (or whatever lowest frequency it can achieves in your room) to 50 Hz and your MBM-12 takes over from there to your crossover point on your receiver.

You can also use them next to the mains for more mid bass and then have the true sub behind you nearfield. I have used this combo succesfully for the past 18 months.

...OR you can co-locate the sealed version of the MBM and your VTF-2.3 and not have to worry about time alignment (delay devices). This has been great for my particular setup as it supplies the nuanced mid-bass boost I was after, while it was a snap to set-up and blended seamlessly into my system, all without the need to worry about time alignment issues (and the extra equipment and set-up calibrations needed). However, be aware that HSU won't have anymore stock until the new ones arrive... I believe the predicted ETA on these were estimated to be in a month or two from now...

I would also like to mention that the company is working on a new MBM-12 with VTF technology that is due in the next month or so. I would wait for it if possible.
