VTF 3-2 Left Input Dead?

One of my VTF3.2 gets no signal on left input – the right input is flawless.
Any suggestions before I open it up?

J. Royce, are you hooking the subwoofer up to an integrated amp, or to a modern-day receiver? If hooking up to a modern-day receiver, then you only need to feed one rca input on the sub (either left or right input).

There are a couple different things that may have happened, but we won't know for sure unless we take a look at it.

Thanks Peter... modern-day receiver for the longest time – can you give ideas as to what might have happened? Is it worthwhile my checking the internal wiring?

Hi J.Royce,

Sometimes the internal metal piece inside the rca input can get damaged if the rca cable is taken in and out many times, and/or if the cable is pushed in hard. Or other times there could be something that goes wrong internally (and might require unsoldering and re-soldering to replace the rca input section).
