Help! I'm trying to hook-up my VT-12s and my center is labeled differently from diagram in manual. Reading left to right mine is labeled:

R-IN R-SAT CENTER L-IN L-SAT

The diagram shows a mirrored image hook-up. Should I wire as labeled or is my center mis-labeled ???

Thanks for you help.

This is how mine are marked.

That's what my diagram shows but not how my center is labeled. The labels on the left side (for right in/out) are reversed. I don't want to risk damage if I hook up wrong.

CircuitSir,

Mine has the same order of labeling as Wid shows with the picture in the attachment, my guess is the label is reversed for the satellites hook-up.

All the VT12's are designed the same way. You should rely on the instructions in the user's manual. That what I would do. You could start right with one satellite to see if the sound comes out leaving the other inputs untouched.

I'm not sure if it will damage anything if you don't connect right. Let's say the output of the left speaker from receiver goes to VT12 left output to satellite and the left input from center of the VT's goes to the left sattelite. In either part of hook-up, there is no current entering or going out in/from the center speaker. You will surely hear no sound coming out.

Mixing up left and right speakers won't hurt anything - the sound will just be coming from the wrong side. If you choose the wrong way, then just switch the wires.
