Dear current and prospective Hsu owners,

Even as we work on a new High Output product line, we did not want to forget about owners of the current generation of products. This is a philosophy that we strongly believe in, and that is one reason why Dr. Hsu made the VTF-3MKII amplifier backwards compatible with the VTF-3MKI unit.

We are working on some new technology that will further enhance the excellent performance of the current VTF-2MKII and higher subs. We are not yet ready to disclose all the details, but we wanted to let you know that things only get better from here.

Keep your eyes open over the next few months.

Sincerely,

Faust

Does that mean that I dont have to wait six months for the HO model and just purchase the VTF3 now since you guys will have some upgrade path to get me close in performance to the HO :D

Thanks for the heads up, Peter. I'll be sure to keep my eyes on this thread as I am very close to biting on the VTF3-MkII as we speak.

I've been trying to keep my eyes peeled per all of the forthcoming Hsu products and may have missed this, but are you able to disclose anything with regards to an auto-EQ module such as what Velodyne has recently announced with their SMS-1 being put out by Hsu? My current thinking is that I'll snag the VTF-3 and pair it with a Velo EQ module, but if Hsu will have one as well that is catered to their particular products, more the better.

Thanks again,
Jeff

you are not out of luck!

You have one fantastic subwoofer.

If you want something new, sell it and buy the HO version later this year.

STF3

That this new "technology" WILL be able to be applied to the STF-3? If so, what about mine? I got one of the first batch of STF-3's that were set to maximum extension (as opposed to the intended maximum output).

Still work for me?

(I hope!)

Will it work on the TN1220?

I don't think it matters, the STF-3 maximum extension versions should be able to make very good use of the new technology in addition to the VTF-2 MKII, STF-3, and VTF-3 MKII. We will not see it on the TN1220HO (which is already a very exemplary performer to begin with, in some ways even more so than our current well reviewed box subwoofers).

Sweet. Thx for the update. Come on! Spill the beans now! :)

Hello Active Speaker,

VTF-2 MKII, STF-3, and VTF-3 MKII. After we formally announce the new technology, we will be able to say more about the reasoning behind this.

Cheers

Weekly bump... want this one to stay at the top until things are announced. Would have made a nice valentines present to my wife. :)

I just wish my wife would get excited about subwoofers.

For all the years of me trying ,she can't see them being mentioned in the same breath as her wanted list.

I guess its all back to that old saying of "why do women close their eyes when a guy is having fun!" http://www.hsuresearch.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif
