hi everyone, i've got quite a problem.. i've got 2 300 watt subs and a 300 watt amp sitting in my room. I'd like to somehow hook them up to my stereo in my room, but i'm not exactly sure how to, or even if this is possible. I could try gettin pics up of what I have to work with if u guys can help me. So far this is my plan on what i'm gonna do.

- I have 12 V ac adapter w/ and output of 12V DC, I'd like to cut the wires going to the plug for whatever you would normally hook it into and simply put the positve wire to the positve, and the negative to the negative port.. (for the amplifiers main power) - i know a car battery is 12 volts.. what do u think about this?

- The main problem i have is that I'm not sure how I'm going to get the information for the sound out of the stereo, through the amp, and into the subwoofers. This is the part i'm stumped on.. Could you please tell me how you would do this or how it might be able to be done?

- A bit of info about the stereo - 25 watt, on the back all it has is two sets of spring clip things to hold the wires for the speaker on each side- any way i could wire into those? - i'm good at soldering nothings out of the question.. i'm thinkin i might have to tear the back of the stereo off.. we'll see- thank you for reading this- hope you can help me out thanks! -ryan

-ps- please hit me back as soon as you can :)

You do not get any significant output using a 12V adapter to power your car amp. If your car amp is anything close to what they claim, it needs to draw about 100 amps from you 12V adapter. Most 12V adapter would put out 1/2 to 1 A, completely useless for the application you are considering. Forget about trying to use those for the home. We would soon have a $300 powered sub for the home and that is what you should get.
