The Home Entertainment Expo was wonderful. The HSU Research room was packed the whole time with a constant flow of enthusiasts, industry, and media people.
The highlight of the show was the upcoming Ventriloquist 5 System--a set of 5 speakers that can be added to any of our subwoofers for about $200 total. We received dozens of dropped jaws and the ubiquitous "How much?". Our new manufacturing system is one of the reasons we can do this, another is our commitment to providing a good value. The price point for this system will make it the perfect bedroom system for more experienced listeners, or even a full entry to mid level system.
Many have attested that the sound quality simply floored them. I overheard two friends arguing that the five speakers must cost at least $1400. Others would as "$200 per speaker?". Others were just impressed with how big the system sounded. The secret behind this system is Patent Pending, but it without the technical details it involves routing the upper bass from the small satellites to the center channel. The resulting soundstage is just as wide as other small satellite systems, but without the typical hole in the upper bass response that mainstream system users have become inured to.
