A friend of mine is upgrading to the ULS and he offered to sell me his VTF-3 MK3 for a very good price. He is 200 miles away so I cannot check how it will work with my present speakers which are the Energy Take Classic 5.1.
I was worried about my small energy speakers ( frequency response 115Hz-20KHz for satellites and 110Hz-20KHz for center channel) not matching with this huge sub whose crossover is a variable 30-90 hz . I plan to use the crossover on my old Onkyo receiver (will be upgrading to a Pioneer Elite by Xmas) at 120 hz. Any comments on this match and my crossover choice? Any recommendations? Thanks to all.
BTW, my family room opens to another room so the total area is about 15 foot X 40 foot X 8 foot high ceiling.
