I am new to HSU. What changes were made in the MK2 version of this sub? I have read that the MK2 can be upgraded. What about it can be upgraded?

Thanks,
Tracy

I am sure there are more differences but the VTF-3 is rated at 250Watts RMS and the VTF-3MII is rated at 350watts RMS.....There might be more differences but I am sure others will jump in and let you know for sure..

Also there is an future upgrade coming out for the VTF-3MII that should make it and even better performer but that is still yet to be announce or released...

If you are thinking of getting the VTF-3MII, I would highly recommend it, I got one a few weeks ago and I love it.

Thx,
Claude

Dear Tracy,

There were a few notable changes made to the MKII version VTF-3. Most obvious is the increased RMS and peak amplifier power. The amp is also more reliable than the original unit, and backwards compatible with MKI VTF-3. In addition to this, we fine tuned certain elements on the driver and porting. Other differences I can think of include much nicer finish quality, downfiring driver with subwoofer spikes, and reduced price!

My apologies for not answering this earlier at the Spot, I have been very busy lately!

Take care

Sincerely,

Tracy

Thanks Claude and Peter. It's nice to know the "history" of a product before buying.

Peter, what will the upgrade options be for the MK2?

Good afternoon Tracy,

We are not yet ready to reveal all the details behind the performance-enhancing option for the VTF-3 MKII (and STF-3 and VTF-2 MKII). All I can say for now is that it should be a very cost-effective way towards increasing performance!

Cheers

Peter,

What is it about the previous VTF-3 that makes it unable to be upgraded?
Just wondering.
