hi everyone, do any of you know if there are any products out there that boost the power coming out of your stereo? like some sort of amp, or any types of subs that can be extras for a smaller stereo? - thanks ryan

I'm not totally certain what you mean; do you have a reciever? If it has preouts (ie preamp outputs) then you can always add an external amplifier. If it doesn't, then there are some little "black boxes" designed to take the speaker level outputs of your reciever and step them down to line-level. Carver used to make a device that the called the "Z coupler" that was used to add their amps to an existing reciever.

It would be easier to make some recommendations if you'd post some info about the system you're using.

sry i didn't post that much info bout what i have, i was in a hurry. well, right now my setup is lame. at the moment i have a small 25 watt KOSS stereo.. there are only two spring- clamps on the back w/ the +/- wires going to the 2 speakers on the sides. I've got a 300 watt amp, and 2 12in. 300 watt subs.. I'd like to somehow wire them into my stereo using a car battery or something, but i don't know how i could get the info from the stereo, through the amp, and to the subs. My whole goal is to get some bass out of the subs i have w/ my small stereo. Do you know if there are any types of amp or anyhting like that, that could make it put out more watts or anything like that. Or if you would happen to know anything about wiring in my amp, i'd like to hear them. thanks :) -ryan

I'm gonna jump in and give it a shot:

You need a low pass crossover that can take speaker level inputs.

You already have an amp you want to use. I'm not sure what could be added to handle the low pass crossover with the speaker level inputs beside our own amps.

All our amps and subs have low pass crossovers which would allow you to use them with your stereo.
