Hi,

I have my VT-12 speaker levels (front/rear L/R and center) to be equally +3dB..
Is there any problem with this setting, at all? The STF-2 is also set at +3dB.

I did this because I felt like increasing the levels of the front speakers and the surrounds a little bit and finally end up increasing the levels of all the speakers.

Is there anything wrong with this approach? I need your advice on this, guys.

Much appreciated...

Really, the values don't matter. Use an SPL meter and a test dvd like Avia or Digital Video Essentials and let the meter set it up properly for you. The soundstage is MUCH more cohesive this way.

Thanks, Sorny... Yes, my next BIG and IMPORTANT task is calibration..

Isn't that the same as turning the volume up 3dB when listening? What's best is to turn the level for each speaker up to the maximum allowed, then when watching a movie, set it to minus the same level. This way, when things get too loud and your not-yet domesticated partner complains about the swarovski falling off the shelf and waterford cyrstal chandelier falling, you could say that it is not really that loud because you are not even close to the reference level.

That's a nice idea, Lwang ...
