Hello fellow Hsu owners. I'm new to the board. I bought my sub for $150 used a little over 5 months ago and really like it.

I have my STF-2 working with some vintage Pioneer Hpm-100's. The living room (HT) is connected to the kitchen and hallway so it's like one large room. I feel the presence/impact is not enough and I think I'm ready to either upgrade or buy a second sub. I'm trying to decide if a second stf-2 would make the most sense or sell it and replace with the larger, more powerful VTF3.

What do ya'll think I should do?

How big is your living space including the kitchen and all other opening space? I would go with the bigger subwoofer in this case if your budget allows it.

I would go with the VTF 3 sub. I had the same question and went with the larger sub for an open basement. The mk3 provides more than enough impact for 3000ft running the volume at 10 o'clock. You can always turn it down!!:D
