Well i finally decided to drop the cash for a new sub. Ordered a hsu vtf3mk2 that should be in tommorow to replace my velodyne ct120. Tommorow is going to be the longest day of work ever!

Thank you so much for your interest, John!
We have a tremendous amount of respect for Velodyne. They have really helped push the envelope with their digital drive subwoofer technology in particular, and they have created many unique and innovative designs over the years. And in addition to providing high end offerings, they have also taken some large steps towards providing good quality subwoofers for the masses.
Take care, and enjoy!
Sincerely,
john.

Be interested to hear your thoughts on the VTF-3 Mk2 comparision. I agree with Peter that the Velodyne digital drive series have some very innovative and unique design ideas. Having spent time playing with a DD18 its definitely a very good subwoofer. Its only real downfall is its a bit on the expensive side for my budget.

well i had to send my amp to hsu because the volume knob had a problem, should get it back tommorow. but i did get some listening time in and can already safely say the hsu outperforms the velodyne by a long shot. keep in mind the ct120 was an entry level velodyne. i havent heard any of the higher models.
