I just did a quick "down and dirty" comparison between the two. I've been going back and forth on a purchase desicion. On paper, for the $$$$ HSU is VERY tough to beat :D. I'm thinking about buying one of each to do a side-by-side comparision - winner stays in my home. Has anyone done this?:

These are two very different subs. Those specs can be helpful, but it doesn't say what the subs sound like. To begin with, the SVS will have a lot more output than a single ULS. I haven't heard the PB13, but, if anything, the ULS will probably sound cleaner and tighter. If you only have room and money for one sub for a home theater, and it's in a large room, you should probably go with the PB13. However, if you are using the sub for music, or you care more for articulation and detail over sheer volume, go with a Hsu. If you want both enormous output and a tight sound, get a ULS dual drive.

Funny thing, I've come full circle to the exact same choice. I want musicality above all, personally, while getting the down-low for movies. Any other thoughts on these two subs? I plan to mate one of these subs to Def Tech's in-wall UIW RLS III's most likely. Gotta keep the kids safe (4 and 2 y.o.).
