I have an H/K AVR-635 and it wants to set my low-pass for the LFE at 120Hz for my VTF-2 MKII. If I were to use the sub xover it goes up to 90Hz. What should I do?

a) Turn the sub xover to out and leave the receiver at 120Hz?
b) Turn the sub xover to out and set the receiver to 90Hz?
c) Turn the sub xover to in, at 90Hz, and leave the receiver at 120Hz?
d) None of the above

I mean, will I have directional issues if I leave it at 120Hz? Can the sub even produce 120Hz?

You would set the crossover to out on the sub and use the receivers crossover. The typical setting is 80hz for H/T use.

Thanks for the quick response. But my receiver's manual says that significant LFE soundtrack is up to 120Hz. That would disappear in my system if I set it at 80Hz, right?

Yes at 80hz setting you should not be able to localize the sub.I went from a fixed 100hz crossover to a 80hz for the vt12s and to me the 80hz is much better. At 100hz you could always tell where the sub was at 80hz it just seems to blend in with no localization problems.

Thx for the response. How high a frequency can the VTF-2 even produce, with the crossover off? 90Hz?
