now that you have anounced these subs, maybe I can fit one in my bedroom. what are the physical dimensions of these subs? Cant tell from the pics, but I assume they are downward firing? I dont know anyone who uses the VTF in anything other than max extension mode (I personally know 5 hsu owners) so STF works for me. Now IF you guys can make them in a more cosmetically apealing finish (gloss black or hi gloss wood) for the WAF you guys may be on to something (and no doubt double or tripple your sales numbers) :)

I think our current finish has gotten a bad rap. Our current VTF painted finish is the same kind that used on many "cosmetically appealing" high end units from other companies. Some Sunfires and M&Ks have used painted finishes similar to ours. We used to use a rough poly coat truck bed liner that got a lot of complaints, although it was very durable. Now that we use paint most people like it for the most part.

Height/Width/Depth
Dimensions:

STF-12 22/15/22.63
STF-10 19/14/17.63
STF-8 19/10/15.63

The STFs are a budget line and will use a similar, if not superior vinyl finish that is found in the majority of mass market products. Why superior? Because we are using advanced techniques to apply the material that gives it an very nice look around the rounded edges.

sahsa,

I think M&K has also figured out that the standard "ugly" black finish doesnt sell as well. When they first started, they had walnut, white and black. I'd bet some engineer type said they had too many skus, so they went away from walnut and white for the last several years.....a few years roll by and what do you know, they are now starting to sell them again in cherry and maple now. All of their print adds clearly are marketing at the cosmetics even with having a lady with a smiling face sitting on the couch.....

Now if I was single, everything could be in black and I would have four of 6' tall maggies or dunlavys...but with WAF colors/apearance is first and foremost unfortunately regardless how well it performs.
