I am looking at HSU subs for my room and need some advice. My room will be a dedicated HT that is 14 x 18 x 9. I will have a stage up front where I want to place all the subs so I can hide all speakers behind GOM fabric.

I was considering one of the following combinations:

1 ULS-15 and 1 MBM-12
1 ULS-15 and 2 MBM-12s
2 ULS-15s
1 VTF-3 MK3 and 2 MBM-12sAny thoughts? Price target is around $2500 or less. The cheaper the better.

I would go for two ULS-15s, provided that your main speakers are capable down to 80 or 90 hertz. Two 15" drivers with the excursion capabilities of the ULS will go further in pressurizing your room than the 12" choices. I have a VTF, a STF, and a ULS, and the ULS is a much more capable subwoofer, although the others are very good too.

Uls-15 Dual drive will be the best option.

I'd go with the ULS-15 DualDrive system :)

Thanks for the responses.

To save room for two rows of seating and to maintain the proper screen-to-viewer distance, I am going with in-wall speakers behind an AT screen for LCR. I will be using Atlantic Technology IWCB-626 speakers, which state they go down to 54Hz.

I don't know how much punch they would actually have under 100Hz since they only have a 6.5" woofer and a 6.5" radiator. Thus, I was wondering if I needed an MBM-12 to cover that mid-bass range more effectively or if the ULS DualDrive would be able to cover that.

No, you would set your speakers to small in your AVR so that both the LFE channel that are present in movies plus the bass in music would be redirected to the subs. And since the ULS-15s have such low distortion you could actually raise the crossover in your avr to 100 or even 120 Hz if needed to get the punch you are looking for. But I do not think you would have to raise the x-over that high.
