Hi guys,

As i'm not situated in USA, shipping a sub is gonna cost a bomb and makes it not worth for me. So i found a guy around my area who's selling his (according to him) 3 yr old vtf 2 mk2 for ~ USD350.

I couldn't find a site that had the old retail price of this sub listed. Is that a reasonable price to pay for that sub of this age?

I've read some accounts of people that claimed the new vtf 1 as superior to the vtf 2 mk2, and am wondering if there's any truth in that.

As i will be heading down his place for viewing the sub, what should i be checking in the internals to make sure everything's alright?

Thanks!

The retail price of the VTF-2 MK2 was $499 USD. I would say that something close to ~$300-350 is pretty fair.

The VTF-1 and VTF-2 MK2 are similar, although the former now has a nicer finish and a bit flatter frequency response.

Make sure that the subwoofer sounds clean with a variety of different music and movie program material. And make sure that you get all the accessories (ie. port plug, spiked feet, power cord).

Sincerely,
