Weird Rattle Sound.

Hi pete and hsu.
I had my hsu book shelfs speakers for two to three months now and i love them.
I recently notice while listening to some music on pandora music i heard a slightly small rattle noise from my right speaker. When i play a movie i don't hear it,but,when i play some music off of pandora or a cd i hear it. it sounds like it's coming from the top tweeter but not sure. It's kinda strange that i don't hear it in multi channel mode for movies. just stereo music :confused: any idea what's causing this?

Marc, do you have our test tone CD? Try playing the test tones between 80-200Hz. Do you hear the noise at any of these frequencies?

Sometimes there can be a slight noise if one of the screws around the horn is either too loose or too tight. Check to make sure that all the screws are snug. Then, play the program material where you hear the noise, and try untightening and slowly retightening each screw (one screw at a time).

Hi Pete,i'v all ready done the test cd from 80 hz too 200 hz and i did hear the rattle. But guess what,it wasn't the speaker it was a loose screw on the metal plate that the speaker was sitting on the stand! so i tighten the screw and will the rattle is gone. ha ha! :o :)

I figured it would come down to a loose screw :D
