I've had the VTF-2 for about a week now. Over the weekend I noticed a couple times that it seemed to shut off as others have indicated.

I was playing music for a while, came into the room and noticed the bass was light. Touched the sub, sure enough, wasn't doing a thing. I reached behind to see what the volumen knob was set at and in doing so barely grazed the output/extension switch just enough to move it from it's resting position for extension mode - the sub came to life. This has happened a couple times now, each time I touch the switch, sub starts up again.

Could I have a bad switch or connection here? I this something that's been reported before?

With the way the amp's circuit board is designed, if you have a receiver it is best to turn the volume up. On your receiver, turn up the "subwoofer level" while turning down the subwoofer's volume level. I don't think that the mode switch is faulty.
