I just moved and foolishly forgot to label the power cord that came with my VTF 2-Mk 2, purchased 12/05. So I now have a bunch of cords from different components — and don't know which goes with which.

These all plug into the back of the subwoofer; which is the right one? (Or does it not matter?)

Hi richard,

The power cord is an 8 ft. long 2-prong power cord.

Sincerely,

Yeah it should be the 2 prong one, mine for my VTF-3 MK3 is 18 AWG I just checked. It really doesn't matter though, any power cord will work fine as long as the gauge of the wire is rated to handle the current demands of the device. With longer power cord runs and high amp devices you would want a higer AWG cord, but for short 6-8 FT runs you can usually get away with 18 AWG for most household devices, although some require 16 just as my computer with an 800 watt power supply. I am sure it would work fine with an 18 AWG, but if it was using max power the cable may not be able to supply enough current to it.
