Just ordered the HO with turbo! I am so freakin excited and giddy about it..... never owned a sub before and I can't imagine my first one being any better.
I am in the second batch of pre-orders and found out today on the phone that there's been a last minute design change. Mine should ship in March sometime, which is OK since my HT won't be close to finished by then. Let's all hope that there are no more delays.

Very nice, down here in Florida we do not get to do the basement projects and have the large open floor plans. I am also excited to have an HO on order but think I am going to add the turbo also. Your theater room should really rock.

I too took the plunge today, although not for the HO but for the VTF-3 MK 2 in blonde maple. I agonized over this for months but knowing who and what Hsu has done I’m confident in my purchase. I almost went to the dark side but after much research and observations at other forums I don’t care for some of the tactics and the unprofessional comments for the dark side. I’ll post back on my impressions of the VTF-3 MK 2 just so it may help anyone else who is having doubts.

Yes, please post back when you get it! I love reading about peoples initial response when they first hear the VTF3 ;-)

I originally set a $3,000 budget for a 7.1 setup. The HO is much more sub than I thought I'd ever buy, but thanks to Ascend, that's no longer a worry. I ordered a 7.1 system from them yesterday (the new SE line with 340's across the front an 4 - 170's for the surrounds) and the total with the sub is around $2,400 shipped. Can't be that, and I'd be shocked to find any system for the price that could touch it.
Now, if I only had all these in my home and my room was done. I am itching to just set them up in my living room and crank it up!

Thank you very much jerrod, we appreciate the show of confidence in us!
Never owned a subwoofer before? Wow, this should be interesting, just take some caution in making sure that items on the walls are secure before cranking 16Hz pipe organ notes :D

Well, in my dedicated HT there better not be anything falling off the walls, anywhere! Otherwise my wife will kill me after all the time and money I'm sinking into "soundproofing" things.....
That said, I can't wait to try!:D
