Sum Question

A Few Questions:
I am using one VTF-3 in my system. Does the VTF-3 sum up the 2 outputs from the preamp? I have an active crossover that has a ‘sum’ feature should I use this feature? If using the ‘sum’ feature on the crossovers should I run two cables or one to the VTF-3 inputs? Would one cable harm the VTF-3? Thanks again for the help.

The VTF-3 does sum the signal internally, but I'm not sure about the other questions. It's nice having the product designer around to answer these questions, but Dr. Hsu is on a trip and won't be back til Mon.

My guess is that if your crossover really does sum the signal, it should work. But there is no need to since the VTF-3 does that already.

The only danger is if it doesn't sum the signal, it could cause a short in your receiver that would damage it.
