Hi all, I am once again trying a different setup with the vt's and my Klipsch towers. I am using the towers as the front mains, the center obviously as the center, and the surrounds off the receiver as directed. Can/should I hook the rear surrounds to the center channel, or should I just run them from the receiver? I know the center gives depth to the sats as mains, I'm wondering if thats because of position or will that work with the rear surrounds as well? The way it sits now, the center is just a center, and I know I am not getting the true vt sound.
Thanks,
Jim

Not sure that I'm getting the picture right, but if Klipsch towers are connected directly to receiver as front speakers output. You want to use the surround speakers instead of off the receiver but use them from the center channel.

Interesting!

As hookup, I have not tried it using the surround out from receiver to center channel and then channel center with the Vent feature on, drive the surround speakers.

Theorically I would guess YES, because the center channel would probably won't know whether or not they are wired from main or surrounds, the center internally does the magic of boosting the surround speakers as if they were used as mains.

Practically, HSU knows best but you could try to see the effects of this particular unusual setup!

But here is my own guess!

From a point of view from the receiver, the signal seems to handle Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R to center and center to Surround speakers seems correct!

It may work! The only drawback I see in this configuration, you may not have all matched speaker drivers due to the use of the Klipsch towers specially when these are bass capable.
