Hello all:

I was wondering -- can anyone tell me what the impedance is for Hsu subs (e.g. STF-1)? I'm interested in wiring them in parallel with my mains, and want to make sure I'm not going to lower the overall impedance that my amp is powered too much, and potentially blow it. I'm hoping that, since they are powered, the impedance will be really high.

Hi zanon,

Assuming that you want to connect via high level inputs on the subwoofer amp, then what happens is that the subwoofer will simply tap into the signal for left/right channels from your main amplifier, so there will be no noticeable drain on your main amplifier. The driver on the subwoofer is rated at 4 ohms.

Sincerely,
