Got my speakers this morning and got busy setting everything up. I don't have my new HK receiver yet so hooked up to the old Pioneer just to listen.
These speakers are amazing. I didn't have a subwoofer before and what a difference it makes just by itself. The VTs produce so much more than my old Polk speakers that I am hearing things that I couldn't hear before.
Thanks to the folks at HSU for making such a great product at such good pricing and to ship everything out so quickly. All my friends will hear about these speakers.

Peter,
It's now 2am and I have finally finished setting everything up. Just about the time I posted that earlier message the UPS guy shows up with the new HK receiver.
Geez, what a nightmare. I had to go buy new cables and some more speaker wire, walked out of Circut City $315 poorer. I never realized how short 50' of speaker wire really is. I'm going to have to go back and get another spool to set up the rear middle channel as the 6th channel. I had it as shown in the instructions hooked with the two rear speakers, but the HK is 7.1 so I can wire it seperatly now.
Then to try to use the AUTO set-up on the HK wasn't that auto. After messing with that for hours I decided to go into manual set-up and try that. Got everything working fine now. I have a THX DVD that has scenes from several movies to show off the sound and it really rocks with my new set-up.
Thanks again,
Steve
ps; I seem to remember reading somewhere in the instructions there is a speaker that is a smaller center than is intended fro the rear center but I don't see a listing for it. Should I be happy using the small speaker I have or is the rear center something I should consider in teh future?

Don't buy it from CC. You can get 12 guage speaker wire in a 250' spool from Lowes for $47. Too late now I suppose.
BTW, which HK did you buy? If it is the 635 and you were using the EzEq you have to set the volume quite a bit louder than the -35db they suggest for the receiver to pick it all up. Their tech suggested -15db to me and it worked, but it's loud enough that I'd suggest leaving the room right after you tell it to start.
Also, for the 635 there is a new bios update available that fixes a lot of issues, but will also have you run the setup again.
Enjoy!

Backlash,
I got the AVR435 not the 635. The real expense at CC was the fiber optic and component cables. Yeah, they do charge too much for the speaker wire but I was in a rush.I think most my problem was being in such a hurry to get everything up and running. After a couple of failed attemps I followed the old adage, If at first you don't succede, then read the instructions. I have everything working except the optic line from the cable box. I think that's just something in the set-up I missed. I now know how to fix that too.
Tonight I tackle the remote. I was able to program my Sony RM-3100(?) without too much trouble so maybe this will go smoothly.
