HIW-1 'Pairs' / In wall box question

Just a quick question,

I just downloaded and am looking at the HIW-1's owners manual and noticed that it says that these are sold in pairs. If that is true, are the quantities listed here: http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/hiwspeaker.html

for pairs? So Qty:2 = 4 HIW-1 Speakers? If that is the case, is it possible to purchase just one? (3 or 5 total would be my ultimate goal)


Second question:

If I were to put these into a wall, and wanted to close up that wall with 2x4's below/above the speakers, what is the ideal box size for them? And would I gain anything by sealing up the speaker location.

Hi Dmtalon,

We decided to offer more flexibility to our customers, so instead of being sold in pairs, we sell quantities of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or anything greater than that.

A good box size would be something similar to the HB-1 MK2.
