Aperion Bravus 8D vs VTF-1

Just curious if anybody in this forum has experience with Aperion Bravus 8D.
Aperion Rep told me this sub is equivalent to Hsu VTF-1 or SVS. Wondering if
this is true and is it because Brauvs has dual 8 inch driver.
In a nutshell, can we compare vtf-1 with Bravus 8D in terms of sound quality for normal to moderate room size?

In my opinion, these two subs are very different in design. The VTF-1 is a larger ported subwoofer, and should have a notable advantage in terms of deep bass output and extension, in addition to variable port tuning capability for adjustable bass characteristics.
