At first I thought it was a HO, but I guess it's just a VTF-3MKII....

If that picture is any indication, SVS is always aware about their competitors. Not surprised at all to find what appears to be a VTF-3 among others.

Looks like an STF3. Notice the black feet. Most likely in stock tuning mode. Some Velodyne subs DD series, AV123 subs, Adire subs, drivers, cylinder subs, JVC sub lol, and others.
I wonder if those subs have gone through changes. The Adire subs are hard to find now. The Velodynes have had firmware updates many times. Etc.
Interesting picture.

imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.... :p

(and yeah, I know all competitor's do this...I would think they all did at least...)

Interesting picture, Jon! I know they have had many of our subs over the years! :)

It is certainly a good idea to get a firm handle on the strengths and weaknesses of the competition's products... :)

Heh :)

I would love to know how each manufacturer measures their subs, and what they measure. It would be interesting to see the differences in methodology and philosophy.

One thing I can tell you, Jon, is that Dr. Hsu is able to determine quite a lot just by looking at certain elements of the driver, amplifier, etc. He really is very good at pinpointing weaknesses is his own and other people's designs. I'm not sure that we will want to give away too much info about our measuring techniques and methodologies, due to the nature of competition, but perhaps we can reveal some of it in time.

Oh wow, some ammo for those that ask for driver photos...tee hee :)

I wasn't implying you guys should share (it'd be cool but...); it was more that I wanted to say I'd love to know such info, but at the same time I realize it's essentially proprietary and a bit sensitive. No worries.

I know, Jon, that's what I thought you meant. It's great that you are inquisitive and interested in learning more!
