VTF-2 DEAD

I have a VTF-2 that stopped working a few years ago and I sent it in for repair, it worked for a few years and is now dead again? All it will do now is make a popping noise from time to time. Is this a common issue?

The S/N is 9901500

Hi jl,

It is not uncommon for these amps to need servicing once every five years or so.

Have you tried testing the woofer by itself to make sure that it is ok?

This seems unfortunate, if I send it in for repair again can the unit be fixed so the problem goes away, or will I continue to have issues with this?

Just out of curiosity, what is the design problem that is causing this issue?

After getting the amp fixed, most likely you will not have any problems for another 5-10 years. Some components become out of spec in that time period.
