Want to upgrade to VTF-3 MK3 and wondering if it matters which way the side firing woofer faces when placing in corner or along wall? Toward wall/ left /right?

Is there a prefered set up? Can I put it long 25" side against a wall for less extension into room, or should it extend out into room 25 " from wall?

Do I need a certain amount of distance from wall/corner all around or just the port side?

Thanks.

Hi jdziu,

Feel free to experiment with orientation of the subwoofer. You can rotate (ie. turn) the unit in 90 degree increments. Generally there will not be a big difference in deep bass performance when changing the orientation of the driver. The only guideline is that you want to keep at least 2" of space between driver and anything it fires into, and at least 3-4" of space in between ports and anything they fire into.

Sincerely,

Thank you. Just ordered Sub tonight and hope I get it tomorrow! - wishful thinking.

Where is location if I want to pick up Monday to save ship cost? I live in San Diego.
