Buy the one on Videogon OR WAIT

I need, want and desire a new subwoofer as mine is just not cutting the ol mustard now that I've got the rest of the system tuned up. I have emailed and called HSU a couple of times and got less then stellar responses to my main question "within some amount of reason when will the VTF HO be available". One would think that some approximate time frame could be offered. My normal instinct when a company gives me the brush off when I'm trying to buy something from them is to put them in my do not deal with file. This time, based soley on the words of compliments for HSU on several audio forums, I am giving this one more shot. Should I buy the HO/turbo listed on Videogon (mentioned elsewhere on this forum) for 850 + shipping or buy from the company? At one time HSU's web site at one time listed B stock but now seems as if that is available anymore. Are the phone lines there crossed and I'm talking to the local Burger King, no joke this happened to my home phone acouple of months ago. I want one this year!

Get the one from Videogon if you can, e-mail the seller and get that transaction going. Is very likely this unit being sold in Videogon is practically brand new.

If you decide to wait, remember the VTF-3 HO is back ordered. The first batch of these subs covered most if not all of the preorders.

In that case, you're better off waiting a few weeks for the next batch. For the initial feedback from new HO owners, you won't be disappointed.

I posted the message that you quoted (changed my ID due to a typo). When I called I was told that stock was available for immediate purchase and shipment. But I wasn't told how many -- so it must have been a small number. Anyway... I bought one, had it a few days later, and have been enjoying it since I got it!

I haven't quite adapted to the "look" of the turbo. Perhaps that will change over time. If not, I'll sell it and use the HO without the turbo. I ran it sans turbo the first day or two, and it was great even without the turbo...
