I'm getting HB-1's and a VTF2 Mk3 for Christmas !!! Can't wait.:D
I'm using 3 HB-1's across the front for L,C, and R. I'm using a projector with a perforated screen, so the center goes behind the screen. The screen is 88" wide so L and R will be outside the screen.
I understand usually the LCR would be at ear level. This would put them toward the bottom of my screen. I think they would be more effective up toward the center of the screen. I'm willing to give up a little perfection to get imaging of the sound comming from the center of the picture.
Now question 1. If I mount them above ear level, should I tilt them down toward the listening position?
It's also my understanding that LS and RS should be positioned above ear level of the listening position.
Question 2. Should LS and RS be titled down toward the listening position because of the controlled directionality of the horns?
Since I'm building fixtures to hold the speakers, I'd like to reduce experimenting and at least try what might work best first.
Thanks.
