I recently purchased the VTF3 MK3 and I am extremely happy with this sub so far. I ordered it without the turbo because I wanted to get it home to see if I actually needed it. Well fact is that I do not REALLY need the turbo, however I want it because of the added LFE it will create in my room (pipe organ music created an addiction immediately).
It was mentioned in an older thread before, now Im starting a new thread because it was a good idea.
How about making the turbo available to new purchases for the discounted price as long as it is ordered within 7 days of recieving the previous order. Its not fair to make the customer purchase the turbo without having any idea if they will actually need one.
I run a business, and I understand the business mentality of buying it NOW, however it would be nice to get a little cushion for a trial.
Just my $.02

Another vote for that, but give us 30 days to add the Turbo for $99 + shipping?

Good idea. I actually thought I was buying the Turbo but apparently when I finished the online checkout I must have inadvertantly selected the non-turbo Mk3. It would be nice to be able to purchase the turbo at the pricing I intended to get it at when buying the sub. This idea would solve that issue.

I would buy the turbo right now if they would still offer me the same discount, and it has only been a week....awaiting a sales call....pretty please .......Dr. Hsu, you have my phone number ;)

And I would buy an HO right now if I knew I had the turbo option available to me after I've had a chance to listen first.

I think this is a good idea as well. My VTF3-MK3 is in route as I type. If I find that the sub is not quite performing up to snuff, I would order the Turbo.

I Assure you, you will not get the impression that "this sub is not performing up to snuff." You will be more than happy with its output.. I only ordered the turbo because I found I really enjoyed the Pipe Organ Music when I heard it for the first time. Bass over 30HZ (99% of the bass you will play with is anyway) is very strong without the addition of the turbo. In my large room the only negative comment I can make about this sub is bass below 30hz isnt as forceful as I would like it to be. Hopefully the turbo will take care of this problem.

Make no mistake! Even without the turbo your sub will shock you. :D
Heck, the VTF3 MKII is a monster of a sub.

Hmmm, I think my post came off very negative (that was not my intent). I am VERY excited about the sub and I can't wait for 01/02/07.
I like the Turbo concept. You get a lot more for very little money. I just didn't take it since the sub with turbo would not be hidden behind my couch.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone. I proposed something similar to Dr. Hsu a while ago where people can get some discounts on some of the modular accessories at some point in the future. Perhaps next year we can try to work something up.
Sincerely,

The other ID companies are doing this same type thing currently, it would be a good idea for sure.

Hey Peter it's next year now, I know the "show" is keeping everyone busy but can you check on a policy change soon ?
BTW: Thanks for your help with my VTF2-mk3. Great Sub !!!:D

I too just got the VTF3 MK3. I'm not able to hook it up until late next week but I too wish there was an option to pickup the Turbo for 100 bucks within X amount of days after the purchase of the Sub.
I love companies who sell you what you need, not as much as they can. That is the primary reason I went with Ascend over everyone else for my speakers.
