VT-12 + HB-1

Hi folks! First post...
I'm currently running an aging Yamaha 5.1 receiver, and I'm strongly considering upgrading my current speakers to the VT-12 system. Probably in the fall I'll then upgrade the receiver to a Denon AVR890 7.1. I'm thinking I'll get a set of the HB-1s at that time and move them into the front mains role, with the VT-12s serving as front and rear surrounds and of course center.
Will the HB-1s and the VT-12s compliment each other in these roles or am I just kaa-razy?

Hi Cliff, welcome to the forum!

We've had quite a few customers do as such due to size/space constraints in the rear. This should work just fine, and will certainly provide some notable benefits vs using only the VT-12 system by itself.
