View Full Version : Repaired/Replaced Amplifier Warranty

I have a VTF3HO that I have absolutely adored for the last several years. The amp went out in March of last year (just out of warranty) and I paid to have it fixed or replaced (not sure what they did). Now here I am again, less than a year later with another dead amp. :(
Does anyone (or a Hsu Research Rep) know if my repaired or replaced amp is covered under any sort of warranty? I am afraid to shell out another $200 and not have it last a year.
Thanks,
-J

Hi jd,
Please give us a call when you get a chance.
It is highly unusual for something to fail one year after being serviced. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this.
Thanks

Pete,
I remembered the last time I spoke with you guys, the tech suggested that I leave the sub unplugged for a while. I left it unplugged all weekend while I was out of town and when I came home it fired right up! Hopefully this means I am good to go :) I'll give you guys a call if the issue comes back.
Whew. It was a terrible couple days without bass!

Good thinking jd! Sometimes this 500w amplifier gets locked up, so if one sees that the LED does not light up, they should unplug the power cord from the subwoofer, wait 15-20 min, and then replug the power cord into the subwoofer.
Thanks for the update, that is a relief!
