Please advise on a Sub (Sony KDL-46V2500, ONKYO 604, Samsung DVDHD960)

Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up a HT and need advise on 1) Sub and 2) surround spkrs. Room size is approx 12x16...mainly used for TV+DVD. I just canceled my STF-1 order(per friend's advise) and now considering STF-2 Black( $319+s/h but not in stock at the moment) or VTF-1($370 +s/h). Not sure when STF-2 is due so I may have to cough up $400 for VTF-1 :-) Please share your experience w/ VTF-1.

Also, I'm not so sure on what to get for surround speakers. Your advise will be greatly appreciated.


Here is my system so far:

- TV: Sony 46" LCD KDL-46V2500
- Receiver: Onkyo TXSR604B
- DVD: Samsung DVDHD960
- Speakers: Athena WS-60 (2 front and 1 center)....plan on wall moutning TV, Front and centrer speakers.

kal, I think any of those subwoofers should work great in your room with the VT-12's. Could you make a quick sketch of your room and post it on the forum so that we can evaluate some different placement options?
