Hi,

Currently I have the onkyo HTIB 760 and replacing the speakers with the athena bookshelf series (B1,C1,S5) and wondering about the sub choices. Most of the people in avs forum recommends bic h-100 for excellent sub for <300 range and recommend HSU if budget is increased. Now I can't spend more than $400 and STF-2 and VTF-1 looks in that range, \
Are both of these subs better than BIC h-100 for twice the money of BIC or only high end HSU are better than BC H-100?
What is main difference between STF-2 and VTF-1 and which will be good to go in room size is 10*20*15 and with athena speakers?
Also I can see that i can buy the speakers as package for $199, Will they be go better with HSU sub or are they better than athana or is sub should be ok with current speakers?

Thanks

The new VTF-1 is essentially a STF-2 with variable tuning - max extension vs output. The newly updated HSU website gives general guidelines for room size.
