I have the 3HO+TURBO+MBM. I noticed they stop selling the 3HO about a year ago but never knew why. I purchased this setup back in 2007 and it sure didn't last long did it?
Is it because it was not a good speaker? Was there too many things wrong with it? Was it a bad production speaker? I hope not because i have one.

Hi greddy,
The main reason the HO was discontinued was because it shared a lot of similarities to the VTF-3 MK3 (including enclosure size/port size/driver size) at a significantly higher cost. The turbo was discontinued mainly because we tried to move towards higher quality finish options with the latest VTF subs, and felt that demand would be limited for turbo in the new finishes.
The HO is still a truly fantastic subwoofer, especially with the MBM added in the mix, and this combo is still one of the best subwoofer systems on the market, no question about it.
Sincerely,
Pete

Sorry you don't have turbo available any more. Pretty happy with my subs output, but wish that option was available (at least as a special order once a year kind of a thing if the price wasn't too high)...

I always figured it was the reasons Pete listed, not anything to do with the quality of the units. I myself wanted an HO but I just could not pass up the VTF-3 for the price of $630 at the time, where as the HO was $200 more I believe. I too wish that the turbo was still available, I understand why they stopped selling it, I mean most people thought it looked ridiculous or whatever but honestly I do not care, I am 24 and not married so I just care how it sounds, not blending it into the living room and getting approval from my wife haha! But again I am probably in the majority as I am sure most of the people who spend over $200 on a sub and an HSU sub for that matter are not in their mid 20s.
