Hi, I'm thinking about the following setup for our home theatre setup:

Yamahaa RX-v2400
(2)Bookshelves M22ti
(2)Surrounds QS8
(1)Centers VP100

I was wondering if there are any suggestions for the appropriate HSU sub to compliment this setup. I know to each their own and all that but I want to make sure everything compliments each other with similar grade and quality. I'm a definate newbie so it's hard for me to just matchup spec #'s between everything and know what's appropriate.

It'll be a few months before I end up purchasing anything so it looks like both the new line of subs and the established one will be available (hopefully).

Thanks,

Nick

Any Hsu sub will be fine. But the STF-2 I think would be a perfect bang for the buck match!

Thanks for the tip. It certainly fits in the price range of the rest of the equipment. I just don't want to short change abilities of one piece because I under-do another. If that makes any sense.

Thanks,

Nick

Besides the sound quality of the subwoofer, which is high on all our subwoofers, the answer to your question depends on:

1) your listening room and where you can place the subwoofer.
2) How deep you really want your bass

I suggest filling out our form here to give Dr. Hsu the info he needs to make a recommendation:

I'll keep that link on file. That's one of the problems with this project. I've been researching based on the house we haven't found yet! :D

I'll have a better idea of things when we get that figured out.
