My subwoofer sits close to my rear projection t.v. and on certain notes, it vibrates the back of the televisions cabinent. It drives me nuts! Do you have any suggestions for this?

This should do it:

Parts Express (http://www.partsexpress.com/)

Part Number 268-010 (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Product_ID=7081)
Larger size: Part Number 268-020

Apply a generous amount to the surfaces that are vibrating. The stuff is not pretty, so you might want to put it on the inside. Make sure not to cover up any ventilation holes on your TV with the stuff.

Thanks Sasha, I placed an order today so I'll let you know how it works out.

Hehe lucky it is just the TV unit. Just about everything vibrates in my house from the heater to the ceiling. Doh!

Thanks So Much Sasha! I received the acoustic tiles from parts express, placed 4 of them on the back of the t.v. and it solved the problem for under $10.00!

Great! I'll make sure to recommend that to other people more aggressively.

That and Earthquake / Museum Wax (found at Home Depot) can be used to secure vibrating objects. The wax can keep small objects sitting on top of tables from vibrating. Its also great knowing that if an earthquake hits, valuable objects won't fall off as easily. ;)

Us Californian's have a lot of earthquakes. I know people who refuse to enter tall buildings because they were in Northridge when the last big quake hit. :(

That museum wax is good stuff. We use it in my gallery to stop things from falling over when kids decide to run in the store. Our building is old and the floors are a bit bouncy. We've even had a dog or two run in the front door.
