just moved over the weekend and decided to set up my surround system...making a big 'boo boo', connecting the sub cable to the center port of my outlaw receiver(doing this at 3 a.m.).

I did not notice the sound quality until I have my system set up and trying to test it out. I'd noticed the sound from the sub does not sound right, so decided to recheck the cable and found out that I'd connected to the wrong port. I'd reconnect the sub cable to the sub port of my Outlaw 1070, and now the sound from my sub does not sound right...sound like it's had some cracking sound from the sub.

I was wondering is my subwoofer " crack? If it is...is there possibility to replace the subwoffer instead having to buy the whole new sub???

I do not live very far from the main office in Anaheim and where's I'd purchased my VTF-2 MK2 couple of years ago.

Thanks in advance for any help...

Hi TooMuchActions,

Have you tried using a different rca cable to the subwoofer? If you still have issues when using a different cable, then give us a call, and we will go from there.

Thanks

Hello Pete, unfortunately(I did manage to find the other RCA Cable and did a replacement) the sound from the subwoofer still have the cracking sound. It does not sound like how it suppose to sound...giving that thunder sound without the "cracking" sound. It sounding like the driver has some loosing thing.

thanks again, is there a number I should call???

the 1-800-554-0150 or 1-714-666-9260?

Either of those numbers are fine. Give us a call when you get a chance. You can even bring your whole unit in so that we can inspect it.

Thanks

just a follow up...got a chance to bring my sub unit into the office today. Thanks to Pete Hsu and Leo of hsu, they are able to find the cause of my sub problem...it's a plastic toy that my son put into the tube:eek: that caused the unwanted noise.

nice to have meet you today Pete...again thanks for the help.

p.s. VTF3 MK3...great sub, able to get a chance to hear some demonstration from the show room. The HB-1 MK2 (http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/hb-1.html)(Bookself) and HC-1 MK2 (http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/hc-1.html)(center channel) are very impressive speakers---great sound quality.
