hi, i'm considering getting either the stf1 or 2; i live in an apt in a brownstone in ny, floors are pretty thin; i can hear the neighbors upstairs walking when they have their shoes on, also can hear their subwoofer when they listen to music.
i only have two nht zero's for the front, and want a subwoofer. space is limited for placement, room is approx 12x15x10.
would a throw rug limit the noise the neighbors downstairs will hear? any other tricks ?

thanks!!!

knohdomi, the STF-2 would work great in that room. If you don't have carpeting, then I would recommend using a throw rug beneath the subwoofer. If you want to heighten impact at the listening position while disturbing the neighbors less, then you can even try nearfield positioning of the subwoofer next to the couch.
