I was wondering if other Ventriloquist owners had any experience (good or bad) with the Audyssey 2EQ program on their AV receiver. I have an Onkyo 604 receiver, and I did run the Audyssey set-up program. I have played around with it a little, and I am wondering if this is more of a gimmick than something that truly is beneficial to the sound.
I have some concerns that it set the crossover high to the sub for all of the satellites. Interestingly I think it set the left, right and center crossover higher than the surrounds in the 150-200 range despite the added midbass of the center channel. It makes more suspect of the equilizer function as well. I clearly have plenty of things acoustically that are issues with my listening room, but it seems too good to be true that the Audyssey program can fix that much.
Thanks for any thoughts you might have.
