I have a vtf-2 ( currently having the amp serviced) that I intend to use as a near field sub directly behind the listening position. I'm also running an Outlaw LFM-1EX and a 12" velodyne rated down to 30 hz, but giving a good 90 db at 27 in my setup, as my main subs, both about 9' from the listening position. I intend to use the VTF-2 as a nearfield sub to get the physical effects of low frequency material.
How should I set up the distance on my pre-pro (an Outlaw 990) to coordinate the bass with the rest of the program ? I'm leaning toward max extension, would this be a mistake?
